There are 6 kinds of pets: imp, cat, owl, pig, wisp and dog.
Each pet gives a special bonus in fight if he is not hungry. The bonus depends on level of pet.
Bonuses:
Imp – strength.
Cat – agility.
Owl – intuition.
Pig – armour.
Wisp – power of magic.
Dog – health points.
Each pet eats special type of food. Pet gets more points of “fullness” if you feed him with food of his level. Attention: most of the food has expiration date.
Food:
Imp – Ash, Coals[3], A Pile of Sulphur[6], Fire Water[8], Boiling blood[10]
Cat – Cat Soup, Milk[2], Ribs[4], Field Mice [4], Assorted Meat[6], Pork[8], Live Rats[10]
Owl – Insects, Field Mice[4], Large Insects[6], Small Rats[8], Live Rats[10]
Pig – Acorns, Fresh Acorns[2], Mixed Fodder[4], Seeds[8], Truffle[10]
Wisp – Silver Dust, Golden Dust[3], Emerald Dust[6], Star Dust[8], Essence of Light[10]
Dog – n/a for now.
Number in brackets is a minimum level of your pet to feed him with this type of food. For each fight your pet loses 1 point of “fullness” if he sits in your inventory or 5 points in case you let him join your fight. Your pet almost always gets maximum experience for his level if you win a fight. You get 33% less experience if your pet joins the fight till the time he’ll reach a level of yours.
“Beast” menu
There is a button “Beast” in your inventory. Buy special food for your pet and click on “feed to”. The level of “fullness” will increase. Also you can find an option “Name the pet” which allows you to give a unique name to your pet. Your pet will leave you forever if you’ll click on button “Release”.
You can keep only 1 pet.

scroll "The Right to Name   (Weight: 1)" gives you a possibility to rename your pet. you can name your pet without this scroll for the first time.

the chance of it is very low

bad gateway error while trying to buy food..

atm max is 11, because level 11 is max in game :)
