That time of year again, when things begin to get interesting in the CL. Bookies favourites are Barca, who have a relatively easy draw against Lyon; statistical favourites are Man Utd, who have to put up with the 'Special One' in Inter Milan. Barca's attack (Messi et al) is the best, Man Utd's defense (Ferdinand & Vidic) is the best.

So prediction time.

I'm going for Arsenal... there's alot of 'if and buts' about them, hopefully Wenger will get a nice top quality centre back for New Year. Plus Walcott, Rosicky (who's ruined my works fantasy football team) and Eduardo should back by the time they play a experienced, cunning and technically astute AS Roma. It's a dodgy pick.

The champions Man Utd looking to do what no team since AC Milan did in the late 80's - win the CL back to back. Brian Clough managed a poor club, who today are in the lower leagues of Nottingham Forest to win back to back European Cup wins in 1979 and 1980. If you don't know him, he was known as Ol' Big Head, infamous, had his team run through stinging nettles and do special ops training through commando obstacle courses if they lost etc. See what Ferguson does.

Wouldn't be surprised if Real win Liverpool, even without Nistelrooy. Benitez (manager) is cracking up, literally going insane. Would barely bat an eyelid if he turned to the press conference in a tutu and started singing slipknot songs.

Lyon vs Barca.

To put into perspective, is sort of like showing up for a knife fight with the Death Star.

Got to admire Wenger (Arsenal manager), with a full team there just as good attactive wise as Barcelona, if not better. But there defense S-U-C-K-S! Instead of following common sense: buy a top defender, listening to people(everyone), his buying Andrei Arshavin - probably the best attactive player in Russia.
