Right now I'm playing piano, learning to play electric guitar, and I am also working with a sample-based program.
My writing are something in between Tool/A Perfect Circle, Slipknot/MuDvAyNe, and Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails. Style obviousely psychodelic/techno rock/metal.
I'm not going to host or otherwise transfer it untill I can find some voice recording software & hardware...

If u need a software program of voice recording than try "Vocaloid". There u can Create words + rythmic. Then u will need only some vst plugins and efects to do a great voice;)

I already write my own music.. I play the guitar and played piano... Rock :) ONly rock exists :)

I'll check that out when I get some more free time.
Meanwhile, does anyone know a good place for .wav samples? I have a few hundred, but there's always room for more, I'm looking for screams and very heavy drums/bass in particular %)

try to create yourself. if u have atleast kebord then it wont be hard enough:)
Use some synths;) it will be good enough for a start:)

I don't have a synth, though I do have plenty of synth and piano and other keyboard samples... I've recorded some guitar samples myself, some vocal stuff too, though my piece of hardware that can only remotely be used to record stuff leaves much to be desired...

a lot ... not so much at the moment because now i`m more on art ... painting, photos etc ... >=] but still yes - i spend few years in music school ... >=]

I'm playing Guitar:) i'm creating songs for girls:) I'm playing with drums too:) I like melodious and Metal music. I've got some nice songs but I can't only write them into my comp and I can't write them In disks. I need some programs so if someone can plz lett me:)))

I use Acid pro to record my music and try to solve Cubase Sx (very hard). I play electric guitar and play in cafes with my group!!I study music teaching!!!!

I practice Speed Mechanics for Lead Guitar by Troy Stetina( i advice it) and try to learn tecniques of Guitar virtuosos like steve Vai and Satrani (but i'm not able to to this yet:))))

cubase is pro program, but its not hard to learn as many pplz think

 Yes maybe it is easy to learn simply recording or editing. But I must study to gain experience for all contents of it...But you are true, there is nothing impossible:))
